My Inner Detective

During the first year of the letters, Dave attended a transformative wellness seminar that left a lasting impression on him. Led by an exceptionally insightful psychologist, the session explored the vast intricacies of human personalities and the depths of the mind. At the time, he had no idea how invaluable this experience would prove to be. The notes he took during the seminar became an essential guide, offering profound clarity in understanding the complexities of a mind shrouded in mystery.

Yet, despite these insights, he found himself reluctantly taking on the role of a detective—a futile endeavour that, in some ways, served as a distraction from the venomous words we both had just encountered. When we eventually decided to share our story publicly, the community’s response mirrored our own inner turmoil. Curiosity consumed everyone, and we all became amateur sleuths. The questions of who, why, how, and where dominated every conversation, binding us in a collective search for answers.

Following the seminar, Dave consulted with the psychologist about the situation and posed several critical questions. At that time, the number of letters received was just over twenty. She determined that this form of harassment constitutes terrorism. According to her, the individual can be classified as a terrorist who, despite the disjointed nature of their messages, is deeply convinced of their beliefs. In public, the person maintained a calm exterior and exhibited no obvious indications of criminal intent.

What we can take from this is that such traits in someone are hard to recognize. Everyone shows moments of craziness, which, to me, is just part of being human. Those responsible may have faced reality and ended their campaign. Perhaps they saw it as a game or mystery, relishing the idea that even the sharpest minds couldn’t catch them. Catch me if you can.
