A COUPLE who were stalked at a family wake have received ELEVEN new letters in the last week.

And one was also addressed to the Irish Sun after we revealed last week how David and Susan Plower, from Loughrea in Co Galway, had been bombarded with over 400 sinister letters over the last four years.

The letters are being examined by the Gardai

The letter sent to us will now be examined by the Gardai.

In the document sent to us, the mystery writer made unfounded allegations against Dave and vowed to continue their campaign.

In the latest campaign of harassment, letters were sent to the couple but also to some of their relatives.

The expletives-laden musings targeted Dave in particular with nasty, unfounded personal attacks.

The latest development comes as the Garda investigation into the couple’s harassment continues.

Dave told us: “The guards have continued to pursue this and reassure us that all avenues are being explored to bring this to closure.

“We are looking at all options and it would be marvellous if someone reached out to offer a reward to aid in bringing those responsible to justice.

“On the day of the Irish Sun publication there were nine letters and now three more this week.

“These people appear to be intent on leaving some kind of twisted legacy.

“We thought they might stop but they seem fearless and still goad us with ‘catch us if you can’.

“Whoever is doing this clearly needs help.”

Dave also paid tribute to everyone who has supported the couple since they revealed their torment.

Dave added: “The initial reaction to last week’s story in the Irish Sun was one of shock, horror and disbelief.

“Many of our friends contacted us immediately with their support and people from all walks of life have reached out to try and offer advice and help.

“The local community has also been respectful of our privacy but we still have people calling and texting us.

‘Shocked’

“People are aware of the situation and were shocked to hear how serious it was.

“My own brother called me and he wasn’t aware of how awful and terrible the situation is.”

He said: “We have raised awareness of our situation in a positive way and it has been constantly on our minds and we continue to have courage.

“We still remain committed to protect our boys and try as best not to burden them with this.

“Their support has been without doubt the most powerful emotion we have felt as a family.”

Hate mail campaign

We revealed last week how letters were sent in the same week that Dave’s dad Peter passed away on March 6, 2023.

The campaign which started in January 2020 also resulted in letters being sent to the couple’s family and friends.

And the hate mail has also described the couple’s movements, included providing images of car registrations, and remarked on their locations and clothing.

Speaking to The Irish Sun, Susan also said she believes their tormentors are “hiding in plain sight”.

She added: “Whoever is responsible for this harassment is clearly cruel, vindictive, callous and uncaring.

‘Truly terrible and hurtful’

“The latest letters have contained some truly terrible, hurtful and baseless commentary primarily directed at us, but also at some other, more vulnerable people.

“The content of these letters is malicious and disturbing and the most recent letter indicates they have zero intention of stopping.”

One of the sinister messages read: “We put the tiniest little camera facing into your house.

“We can see you every time you go out, taking photos of all your classic (lol) mercs, every time you, Suzie (sic) or them two little p***** leave or come home and any of the very few people who visit you.”

The troll has also taken images from the couple’s social media sites and photoshopped them on to pornographic images.
